On the closing day of the Fifth Bay of Bengal Maritime Dialogue, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to combat IUU fishing and manage the shared resources in the context of changing climate through collective and collaborative action. The BOBP’s BOBSAN and BOB-RPOA-IUU were recognized as the timely initiatives for channelizing the collective action towards the shared goals.

 

The Dialogue, co-hosted by the Pathfinder Foundation and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, during May 20-21, 2025, where over 60 members representing government, civil society and regional think tanks from South and South east Asia participated.
