BOBP-IGO is conducting a Training Course on “Audio-Visual Documentation for Knowledge Management in Marine Fisheries Sector in the Maldives" from 22 Feb - 03 March 2017. The objective of the Training Course is to develop capacities of actual fisheries practitioners or the primary stakeholders to document their knowledge and tell their own stories. Through this Course, the youth from traditional fisher families and fisheries officials are being trained in preparation of video documentaries and awareness material to capture, collate and communicate systematic and folk knowledge in the marine fisheries sector of Maldives. Six trainees representing the Maldives Fishermen Organisation and the Ministry of Fisheries & Agriculture, Government of Maldives are taking part.
